Basketball Recap: Detroit Cristo Rey Takes a Loss

Detroit Cristo Rey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Bishop Foley Ventures and fell 55-16. The WOLVES lost against the Ventures in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 64-50 score last time.

Detroit Cristo Rey's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Bishop Foley, their win ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-17.

Looking ahead, Detroit Cristo Rey won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Oakland International Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oakland International Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Bishop Foley, they will head out on the road to square off against Greenhills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
