Basketball Recap: Surry Central Has No Trouble Against Wilkes Central

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Surry Central on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Wilkes Central Eagles as the Surry Central Golden Eagles made off with a 75-52 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Golden Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Tripp Mcmillen was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mason Jewell, who posted 12 points and seven assists.

Surry Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wilkes Central only racked up 14 assists.

Wilkes Central lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Fernando Allen, who put up six points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Parks, who had eight points.

Surry Central now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Wilkes Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Surry Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 79-32 win against West Wilkes on the 13th. As for Wilkes Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 74-50 loss against North Surry on the 13th.
