Football Recap: Jacob Fultz Leads Danville's Defense on Friday

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Danville and Tri-West Hendricks, and Tri-West Hendricks kept the tradition alive. The Warriors fell 35-27 to the Bruins on Friday. The game was a 21-21 toss-up at halftime, but the Warriors couldn't quite close it out.

When it comes to explaining why Danville lost, don't look at Minh Vu. Despite the final result, he rushed for 83 yards and a pair of scores.

Danville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Jacob Fultz led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Bryce Eagen is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least seven every time he's taken the field this season.

Wanson Hall had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 141 yards and one TD on only 11 carries for Tri-West Hendricks. Those 141 rushing yards gave Hall a new career-high. Quinten Alexander was another key player, picking up 90 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Danville now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Tri-West Hendricks, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Danville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 37-13 victory against Roger Bacon on the 26th. As for Tri-West Hendricks, they have also already played their next contest, a 31-24 win against Indian Creek on the 26th.
