Baseball Game Preview: Viewpoint Patriots vs. Brentwood School Eagles

For the second straight game, Viewpoint will face off against Brentwood School. The Patriots will be playing at home against the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Viewpoint will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

Viewpoint had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Brentwood School on Tuesday. The Patriots blew past the Eagles 9-2. Considering the Patriots have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Brentwood School's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joe Weinbach, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Weinbach has snagged this season. Dean Hoshide was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Viewpoint pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Brentwood School, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.
