Basketball Recap: Columbus Christian Takes a Loss

The Columbus Christian Crusaders came up short against the River City J Jaguars on Saturday and fell 61-52. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

River City J's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Andrew Wilson led the charge by going 5-for-7 to rack up 17 points along with six assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Pontrich, who posted 13 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Columbus Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Columbus Christian will host Shawe Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for River City J, they will venture away from home to take on Springs Valley at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
