Savannah had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.5 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They came out on top against the McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers by a score of 56-46. This was a revenge game for the Bluejackets: when they faced off against the Buccaneers back in January, they had to take a 48-47 defeat.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Savannah to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maki Joyner, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Joyner is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games he's played. Jermontae Brown was another key player, putting up 11 points.

McIntosh County Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mj Quarterman, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Craig Battle, who posted nine points along with seven boards and six assists.

Savannah pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for McIntosh County Academy, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-4.

Savannah is taking a road trip to square off against Portal at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Savannah's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests. As for McIntosh County Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 0-0 victory against Claxton on the 5th.
