Recap: Lincoln Lynx vs. Power Pirates
The Lincoln Lynx put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 58-35 margin over Power. Lincoln has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 23 points or more this season.
Lincoln got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kayden Riddle out in front who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Riddle is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Dylan Jakushak was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
Lincoln pushed their record up to 12-0 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Power, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Lincoln will head out on the road to challenge Drummond at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Drummond knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matches -- so hopefully Lincoln likes a good challenge. Power will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Dutton-Brady on February 5th. Dutton-Brady has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 179 points over their last three matchups.
