Beardstown not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 30, 2024. They blew past the Rushville-Industry Rockets 15-1. The Tigers have beaten the Rockets the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Rockets has come to flipping the script.

Trey Riddell made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ethan Heller, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4. Tannar Riddell was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Beardstown always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.

The victory got Beardstown back to even at 2-2. As for Rushville-Industry, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Beardstown will be playing at home against Mendon Unity at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mendon Unity will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Beardstown surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rushville-Industry, they will head out to challenge Illini West at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Illini West's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Rushville-Industry's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
