Baseball Recap: Proctor Takes a Loss

Proctor lost against New Hartford back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Raiders fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 2-1.

JOSH MARTINEZ was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. What's more, he gave up only three walks, the fewest he's had since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one double. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Proctor's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for New Hartford, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Proctor is set to face off against their familiar foe Rome Free Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, New Hartford will take on rival Whitesboro at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
