Volleyball Recap: Notre Dame Academy Triumphs + How To Watch

Notre Dame Academy is still undefeated this season after their matchup against Montachusett RVT on Friday, but Montachusett RVT came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Rebels came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Bulldogs. The Rebels have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Notre Dame Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 28-30, 25-19, 25-12, 16-14.

Phoebe Doyle paced Notre Dame Academy's offense, picking up 17 kills. Doyle got some help from Dana Howling Wolf Keller and her 18 assists. Howling Wolf Keller was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Notre Dame Academy's win bumped their record up to 14-0. As for Montachusett RVT, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 9-2.

Notre Dame Academy and Montachusett RVT should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings. The Rebels (ranked 18th) will meet Whitinsville Christian (ranked 95th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Montachusett RVT will square off against Worcester Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (62 vs. 250).
