Baseball Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for Falcon

Falcon won the last time they faced Elizabeth and things went their way on Thursday too. The Falcons had just enough and edged out the Cardinals 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

David Ada was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Ada was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Ada wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Jaquez, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Nash Holtz also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Falcon's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.75 runs across that stretch. As for Elizabeth, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season.

Falcon will square off against Pueblo Central at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elizabeth, they will face off against Bennett at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
