Soccer Game Preview: Mira Loma vs. Lincoln

The Mira Loma Matadors will head out to face off against the Lincoln Fighting Zebras at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mira Loma is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.

Last Wednesday, Mira Loma narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Oakmont 3-2.

Arav Kanyal and Kelor Garcia scored all three of Mira Loma's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, Lincoln hasn't lost a match since December 7, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Wednesday. Neither they nor Center could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Fighting Zebras have been dealt a draw since back in December of 2024.

Lincoln's draw gives them a new season record of 5-3-2. As for Mira Loma, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3-1.

Mira Loma came up short against Lincoln in their previous meeting back in December of 2019, falling 3-1. Can Mira Loma avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
