Volleyball Recap: Picayune Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Picayune lost against Hancock two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Maroon Tide came up short against the Hawks, falling 3-0.

Picayune took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-19, 25-23.

Hancock found their leader in sophomore Lexi Dreher, who had nine digs.

Picayune has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Hancock, they pushed their record up to 22-7 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Picayune will face off against rival Gautier at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hancock is set to square off against their familiar foe Pascagoula at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
