Recap: Plainville Cardinals vs. Trinity Celtics
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Plainville Cardinals can now relate to. They received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 25-6 to Trinity. Plainville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Trinity apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Eric Armour went supernova for Trinity, rushing for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, while also picking up 51 receiving yards. Armour was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Trinity's defense and their three sacks. Matthew Mcconnaughy was especially locked on to Plainville's QB and sacked him twice.
Plainville now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Trinity, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.
Plainville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Trinity is on the road again on Friday and play against Medicine Lodge at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Medicine Lodge is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
