Baseball Preview: Cascade Christian Cougars vs. Kittitas Coyotes
The Cascade Christian Cougars will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Kittitas Coyotes at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Kittitas took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Cascade Christian, who comes in off a win.

The Cougars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Cowboys on Wednesday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Cowboys recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Major Rodarte made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Rodarte was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other pitching news, Aiden Petrie looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (two).

Having lost for the first time this season, Kittitas fell to 9-1. As for Cascade Christian, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
