Basketball Recap: Alabama Aerospace and Aviation Takes a Loss

Alabama Aerospace and Aviation saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a blow against the Destin Sharks, falling 66-36. The game marked Alabama Aerospace and Aviation's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Destin got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Memphis DeLong out in front who dropped a triple-double on 19 points, 11 boards, and ten blocks. DeLong has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Calix McCune, who went 7 of 15 en route to 19 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Alabama Aerospace and Aviation and nudges their season record down to 7-5. As for Destin, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Alabama Aerospace and Aviation and Arnold will round out the year against one another at at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Destin, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Franklin Road Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Destin is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.3 points per game this season.
