Softball Recap: Dacula Gets the Win

Dacula posted their closest victory since August 16th on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mountain View Bears, sneaking past 12-11. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won six in a row.

Brooke McLemore looked comfortable as she struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in August.

On the hitting side, Dacula let Karsyn Plaisance and Paisley Brown run wild. Plaisance went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three doubles, and three RBI, while Brown went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four runs gave Plaisance a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tatiana Loera, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs.

Dacula's victory bumped their record up to 18-11. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-17.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Dacula will challenge rival Collins Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mountain View is set to square off against their familiar foe Buford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
