Soccer Recap: West Rowan Takes a Loss

West Rowan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Salisbury Hornets, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, West Rowan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 519th, while Salisbury are ranked 126th).

West Rowan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10-1. As for Salisbury, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-0-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. West Rowan is set to face off against their familiar foe East Rowan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Salisbury will take on rival Northwest Cabarrus at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
