Basketball Recap: Thursday's Win Is West Jones' 13th in Last 14 Outings

West Jones had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They skirted past the Olive Branch Conquistadors 53-50. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered a 61-48 loss the last time these two teams met.

West Jones has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points over those games. With the defeat, Olive Branch broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 23-9.

Looking ahead, West Jones will challenge Callaway at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Callaway sitting on 14 straight victories and West Jones on ten. Olive Branch does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
