Volleyball Recap: Wayland's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Wayland waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Natick Redhawks by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Wayland had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 12-25, 25-14, 25-21, 25-9.

Natick lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Scarlett Jones, who had 13 digs and one assist. Another player making a difference was Ruby Jasper, who had three digs and two aces.

Wayland's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Natick, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.

Looking ahead, Wayland will head out on the road to take on Newton South at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Natick does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
