Volleyball Recap: Waller Extends Home Winning Streak to Nine

There's no place like home for Waller, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Cypress Woods Wildcats on Saturday. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Waller had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-17, 26-24.

Waller's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-4. As for Cypress Woods, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waller will venture away from home to square off against Huntsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cypress Woods, they will take on Cypress Falls at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
