Football Recap: El Monte Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Baldwin Park, El Monte was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They pulled ahead with a 13-12 photo finish over the Mountain View Vikings. The Lions' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

El Monte's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2-1. As for Mountain View, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, El Monte and Mountain View will both be playing Arroyo the next time they take the field. The Vikings will host the Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Lions will head out to face them at 3:30 p.m. on September 3.
