Basketball Recap: Caldwell Takes a Loss

Caldwell was the 70-48 winner over Toronto when they last played one another back in December of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Caldwell Redskins were beaten by the Toronto Red Knights 62-35 on Tuesday.

When it comes to explaining why Caldwell lost, don't look at Guiler Preston. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Preston a new career-high in rebounds. JR Curry also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Caldwell's loss dropped their record down to 16-4. As for Toronto, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-5.

Caldwell has already played their next match, a 74-45 win against Waterford on the 12th. As for Toronto, they will welcome Catholic Central at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Toronto is on a six-game streak of home wins, Catholic Central a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
