Softball Recap: Bella Vista Comes Up Short

Bella Vista blew McClatchy out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday McClatchy got their revenge. The Broncos fell just short of the Lions by a score of 4-2. The Broncos were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 7-0.

Laila Kirwan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

Bella Vista now has a losing record of 7-8. As for McClatchy, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bella Vista will welcome Ponderosa at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for McClatchy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Campus at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 10.9 runs per game this season.
