Basketball Game Preview: Bloomington North Cougars vs. Bloomington South Panthers

A classic North v. South matchup is on the schedule. The Bloomington North Cougars will head out on the road to challenge the Bloomington South Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bloomington North has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 182 points over their last three matchups.

Bloomington North is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 63-53 victory over South Dearborn on Friday.

Meanwhile, Bloomington South opened the new year with a less-than-successful 51-38 defeat to Brownsburg. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Bloomington North's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6. As for Bloomington South, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Bloomington North skirted past Bloomington South 56-53 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bloomington North since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
