Baseball Recap: Jefferson Jaguars vs. Chanhassen Storm
Jefferson fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Chanhassen on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Storm by a score of 6-5. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Storm apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
Aiden Matas made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Feller, who went 1-for-5 with one triple and one run.
Jefferson's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Chanhassen, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Looking ahead, Jefferson will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Waconia at 7:00 p.m. As for Chanhassen, they will square off against New Prague at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
