Softball Recap: Palmetto Comes Up Short

Palmetto was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the Westminster Christian Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-1 back in February.

Palmetto saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alicia Thomason, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Madeleine Baldwin was another, scoring a run and stealing Two bases.

Palmetto's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Westminster Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Coming up, Palmetto will face off against Ferguson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westminster Christian, they will challenge Somerset Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
