Pocahontas took a 27-point defeat the last time they faced off against East Sac County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Indians sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 30-28 victory over the Raiders on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Meanwhile, South Central Calhoun ended up a good deal behind Northwest Webster on Friday and lost 31-14.

South Central Calhoun now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Pocahontas, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-4.
