Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Central of Coosa County faced off against Lanett on Friday. The Cougars were outmatched by the Panthers and fell 63-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Cougars were not able to get on the board.

LaFayette's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Central of Coosa County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Everything came up roses for LaFayette against Central of Coosa County in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 48-8 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
