Basketball Recap: Aletheia Christian Academy Beats Gulf Pointe Latin for Their Third Straight Victory

Aletheia Christian Academy entered their tilt with Gulf Pointe Latin on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They skirted past the Gulf Pointe Latin Gladiators 36-34. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lions have posted since January 18, 2024.

Aletheia Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylee Nance, who posted three points in addition to six rebounds and six steals. The dominant performance also gave Nance a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Zoe Dailey, who scored nine points.

Bethany Crumpler and Kaitlyn Lothringer certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Crumpler earned three points along with ten boards, six steals, and five assists, while Lothringer had 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Crumpler has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played.

Aletheia Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season.
