Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Academy Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

There's no place like home for Heritage Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They came out on top against the Bishop Ward Cyclones by a score of 56-44 on Tuesday. The Chargers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cyclones, too.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Heritage Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Biruk Dietz, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 12 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Dietz is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Miles Buhrle was another key player, putting up eight points and five boards.

Heritage Christian Academy pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Bishop Ward, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Heritage Christian Academy (ranked 119th) will meet Maranatha Christian Academy (ranked 261st) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Heritage Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.3 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Bishop Ward will face off against Northland Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday up 349 places (116 vs. 465).
