Basketball Recap: Ripon Comes Up Short

Ripon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 75-52 to the Brillion Lions. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 418th, while the Lions are ranked 113th).

Ripon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Brillion, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-7.

Coming up, Ripon is taking a road trip to square off against Waupun at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brillion, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-39 victory against Weyauwega-Fremont on the 11th.
