Softball Recap: Chisum Comes Up Short

After flying high against Chapel Hill on Saturday, Chisum came back down to earth. The Mustangs lost 17-2 to the North Lamar Panthers on Monday. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Chisum saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addie Daigle, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Chisum has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for North Lamar, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chisum will venture away from home to challenge Rivercrest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Lamar, they will head out to take on Community at 6:00 p.m. on March 3.
