Preview: Jefferson County North Chargers vs. St. Mary's-Colgan Panthers
The Jefferson County North Chargers are on the road again on Friday and play against the St. Mary's-Colgan Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Jefferson County North had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past Olpe, posting a 52-0 win on the road.
Meanwhile, St. Mary's-Colgan put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 33-8 margin over St. Marys.
Tucker Harrell was his usual excellent self, rushing for 146 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 125 yards and a touchdown while completing 80% of his passes. Cooper Simmons was another key contributor, rushing for 119 yards and a touchdown.
Jefferson County North's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for St. Mary's-Colgan, they pushed their record up to 11-0 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
