Sasha Siemiller and Isabella Chavez stepped up to the plate in a big way. Siemiller went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Chavez scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave Chavez a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Livingston never let their opponents score on Monday. They put the hurt on Johansen with a sharp 19-0 win. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by ten runs or more this season.
Annalee Aguilar was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Livingston got a massive performance out of Isabella Zazueta, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Alexis Ross, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.
Livingston always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Johansen only posted an OBP of .167.
Livingston's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Pacheco, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.
Pacheco skirted past Livingston 12-11 in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pacheco since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
