Baseball Recap: Memphis Home Education Association Takes a Loss

Memphis Home Education Association dropped their record down to 9-10-1 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They lost 13-0 to the Munford Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Munford this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-0 on April 1st.

As for Munford, their record now sits at 14-10. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

For Munford's part, they let Jase Greenland and Curly Lowry run wild. Greenland went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Lowry went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Lowry is becoming a predictor of Munford's success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is undefeated (and 8-10 when he doesn't). Jaxzen Scheidt was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Memphis Home Education Association has already played their next contest, a 9-2 defeat against Northpoint Christian on the 18th. As for Munford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-6 win against Dyer County on the 19th.
