Recap: Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks vs. Fremont Tigers
The Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks posted their biggest victory since November 30, 2023 on Friday. They blew past Fremont 72-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Lincoln Southwest has posted against Fremont since January 12, 2018.
Bj Bradford continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 11 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Frager, who scored 12 points.
Despite the loss, Fremont still got an impressive performance from Maurice Bryant, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. Caden Kolm was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Even though they lost, Fremont smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Lincoln Southwest now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Fremont, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln Southwest will face off against Millard West at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Allowing an average of 53.5 points per game, Millard West has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this game. Fremont won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Lincoln High at 5:15 p.m. on January 20th. Lincoln High is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home.
