Soccer Game Preview: San Ysidro vs. Otay Ranch

San Ysidro fell just short of Mater Dei Catholic by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 418th, while the Crusaders are ranked 77th).

Meanwhile, Otay Ranch's and Olympian's game on Wednesday was close at halftime, but Otay Ranch turned on the heat in the second half with two goals. Otay Ranch put the hurt on Olympian with a sharp 4-1 win. It was an even better day for Hiram Mora as he scored three goals for his team.

This is the second loss in a row for San Ysidro and nudges their season record down to 5-5-2. As for Otay Ranch, the victory got them back to even at 5-5-5.
