Bloomer lost against Rice Lake back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Blackhawks fell 2-0 to the Warriors. The Blackhawks' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Ilona Tozer paced Bloomer's offense, picking up four kills. Tozer got some help from Brianna Jacobs and her nine assists.

Rice Lake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hayden Stanley led the charge by getting 15 assists and three digs. Those 15 assists gave Stanley a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Gifford, who had five digs and two aces.

Bloomer's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Rice Lake, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

Bloomer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Ladysmith on the 13th. As for Rice Lake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Osceola on the 13th.
