Basketball Recap: Norwalk Has No Trouble Against Jefferson

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Norwalk had no problem doing just that on Monday. They put the hurt on the Jefferson Yellowjackets with a sharp 72-47 victory. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 251st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win got Norwalk back to even at 11-11. As for Jefferson, their loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-19.

Coming up, Norwalk will square off against Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 68.6 points per game this season. Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
