Soccer Game Preview: Momence vs. Bloom

Momence is 0-8 against Bloom since April of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The Momence Athletics will welcome the Blazing Trojan at 4:30 p.m. Momence has given up an average of 6.1 goals per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Momence is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Monday. They lost 7-0 to Beecher. That's two games in a row now that Momence have lost by exactly seven goals.

Meanwhile, Bloom kept a clean sheet against Rich Township on Monday. They put the hurt on the Raptors with a sharp 8-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Bloom, who have now won five games by six goals or more so far this season.

Bloom has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Momence, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Momence suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Bloom when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Momence Athletics avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
