Preview: Powdersville Patriots vs. North Myrtle Beach Chiefs

Having just played yesterday, the Powdersville Patriots will jump right back in to play the North Myrtle Beach Chiefs at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Powdersville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 792 points over their last 12 games.

On Thursday, Powdersville strolled past St. James with points to spare, taking the game 68-50.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Powdersville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Quan Burton, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Sweet, who scored 12 points.

Meanwhile, North Myrtle Beach put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Lugoff-Elgin by a score of 65-58. Given North Myrtle Beach's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while Lugoff-Elgin is ranked 91st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Powdersville pushed their record up to 9-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for North Myrtle Beach, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0.
