Basketball Recap: Forest Hill's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Forest Hill won the last time they faced Leonard and things went their way on Saturday too. The Forest Hill Falcons snuck past the Leonard Lancers with a 56-52 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Falcons as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Forest Hill found their leader in freshman Angel Ortiz, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tim Grice, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 12 points and six rebounds.

Forest Hill was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Leonard only posted six assists.

Despite the loss, Leonard still got an impressive performance from Bryce Reed, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 22 points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Colten Munnings, who posted nine points.

Forest Hill's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Leonard, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Forest Hill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-58 win against Somerset Academy Key on the 7th. As for Leonard, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 53-41 defeat against Spanish River on the 7th.
