Baseball Recap: Framingham Takes a Loss

Framingham was the 7-4 winner over Newton North when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Flyers fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday.

Framingham got a good showing from Brian Chagnon, who pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Ryan McAuliffe was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Another player making a difference was Jon Coutinho, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Framingham's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Newton North, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-8.

Coming up, Framingham will take on Needham at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Newton North, they will host Natick at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
