Vanlue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 12-9 to the Temple Christian Pioneers. On the bright side, the nine- run effort marked the Wildcats' highest-scoring contest to date.

Toby Reed made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Bryce Wallen was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

Vanlue's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Temple Christian, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Looking ahead, Vanlue will be playing in front of their home fans against Arlington at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Temple Christian, they will head out to take on Hardin Northern at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Pioneers will need to watch out since the Polar Bears have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups.
