The Ballantyne Ridge Wolves will head out on the road to challenge the Independence Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Ballantyne Ridge sitting on four straight victories and Independence on eight.

Ballantyne Ridge had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the nine-goal drubbing they dealt West Mecklenburg on Tuesday. Wolves never let the Hawks get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. The result was nothing new for Ballantyne Ridge, who have now won six matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Independence got the win against West Charlotte last Tuesday by a conclusive 6-0. Independence are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the fifth matchup they've won by 3+ goals this season.

Their offense was hitting West Charlotte from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal.

Ballantyne Ridge's record now sits at 9-4-2. As for Independence, their record is now 8-3.
