Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Triumphs

Trinity Christian took a 23-point defeat the last time they faced off against Callaway, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lions escaped with a win on Tuesday against the Cavaliers by the margin of a single free throw, 52-51. The win was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

When it comes to explaining why Callaway lost, don't look at Ahmad Roberts. Despite the final result, he posted nine points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dee Harris, who earned six points and five boards.

Trinity Christian picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-5.

Trinity Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-55 loss against Upson-Lee on the 12th. As for Callaway, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 63-52 win against Greenville on the 12th.
