Cornerstone Christian has gone 4-0 against Medina Christian Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Cornerstone Christian Patriots will host the Medina Christian Academy Knights at 7:00 p.m. Cornerstone Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Last Saturday, Cornerstone Christian didn't have too much trouble with Kirby as they won 92-76. The win was all the more spectacular given the Patriots' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 287th in Ohio, while the Cougars are ranked 113th in Tennessee).

Quinn Kwasniak was his usual excellent self, shooting 9-for-17 from downtown and dropping a double-double on 53 points and ten boards. That makes it eight consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Cornerstone Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Darrien Davis, who went 9 of 12 on his way to 19 points and five rebounds.

Cornerstone Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Medina Christian Academy's strategy against East Palestine on Thursday. Medina Christian Academy greeted the New Year with with a 60-46 victory over East Palestine.

Medina Christian Academy's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6. As for Cornerstone Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Cornerstone Christian strolled past Medina Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 71-56. Does Cornerstone Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Medina Christian Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
