Basketball Recap: Cato-Meridian Takes a Loss

If Cato-Meridian was feeling good fresh off their 48-19 takedown of Altmar-Parish-Williamstown last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cato-Meridian Blue Devils were just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 44-43 to the Central Square Redhawks. While the Blue Devils didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Redhawks 16-7 in the first quarter.

Cato-Meridian dropped their record down to 6-4 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Central Square, their win ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.

Cato-Meridian has already played their next match (against Hannibal), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Central Square has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against East Syracuse-Minoa.
