Softball Recap: Harmony Grove Comes Up Short

Harmony Grove had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 9-10 to make it four. They lost 11-0 to the Smackover Buckaroos. The game marked the first time this year in which the Hornets were not able to get on the board.

As for Smackover, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 14-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games.

For Smackover's part, the team relied heavily on Emily Camacho, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Camacho has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylyn Crawford, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Harmony Grove will face off against rival Bismarck at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Smackover is set to square off against their familiar foe Genoa Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
